We are incredibly grateful for how warm you have welcomed us. As a young brand, we are constantly changing – for you and because of you. It’s wonderful that we are on the journey of mindfulness together. Let us tell you more about our values, brand genesis and the symbolism that accompanies us.
Om Purnamadah Purnamidam ‚From the completeness comes the completeness’
The mantra which describes the eternal nature and complete state of the universe. It explains the self-sustaining nature of the cosmos, the completeness of the universe. Purnama in Bahasa Indonesian means full moon, infinity, and perfection. Purnama Rituals is an act of appreciation of nature, moon phases and rituals associated with them, but also the perfection of nature in itself. All you need is already within you. All that is missing are tools to help you get to that deeper place.
Ancient rituals for modern minds
We all know that the modern world is fast paced, technologized, and our everyday life is significantly different from that of our ancestors, but we believe that there are parts of us that remain unchanged. After all, we experience them in moments of mindfulness and on a meditation cushion. The current lifestyle, where everything is at our fingertips, was supposed to give us more time, yet the effect is almost the opposite – it is harder for us to find time to be in silence, contemplate, talk with our own soul or even calm our mind, constantly bombarded with stimuli.
We are helped by indigenous cultures and their ancient rituals that help us silence our ever-thinking brains, supporting personal and spiritual development. We are all already familiar with yoga or meditation, but there are many more such ancient practices worth exploring. That is why we look at traditions and cultures from around the world and draw from their wisdom, with respecting their heritage and sourcing our products responsibly.
It is important to us that you are aware of our intentions – we are not interested in a complete return to the past. We are modern people living in the reality of big cities and we accept this current state of the world. At the same time, we want to infect others with the belief that even small activities, such as short moments of self-care, can bring huge results. Simple rituals can create sacred experiences. We try to serve as a bridge between the wisdom of ancient cultures and our times, and the need to find meaning, achieve harmony, greater awareness and self-knowledge.
Purnama Rituals: the meaning behind our logo
We really wanted our logo to reflect our values. We want to briefly tell you about it.
Yin-yang is a well-known symbol of opposites that, unable to exist without the other, create balance. Our world is so rational and focused on productivity and materialism, that it lost its intangible, energetic and more subtle side. We feel that something is missing and that harmony is hardly maintained. Our intention is to connect the Western understanding of the world with the Eastern philosophies, which connect the body with the mind and soul. For this we practice mindfulness rituals.
The symbol of the moon
The moon is a reference to the meaning of the word Purnama. We adhere not only to the rhythms of nature and cyclicality in human life, but also to the fullness and perfection of the fate we experience. If you meditate, you may have a similar understanding of these things – contrasts and all life experiences make up an ideal existence with what it is and what it brings at any given moment.
The symbol of the plant
Our logo could not be complete without plants, because although we also offer ceramics or salt lamps, plants are what lead us on the path to creating this brand. Plants with their unique spirit and properties, traditional functions discovered and assigned to them by their ancestors were what inspired us. We carefully describe all the natural incense we offer, so that you can use their power, and enter into conscious and intentional contact with them.
We wanted to include the image of women in the logo for many different reasons. Surely the most superficial one of them is that most of our readers & customers are women. Looking behind these superficialities, femininity is symbolically connected with life, creating new things, creativity, intuition and connection with nature. This is our tribute to botanists, herbalists & all those women who cultivated ancient herbal remedies. Also, femininity is also cyclical, ruled by the moon.
In conclusion, we would like to thank you once again for such a wonderful welcome. We are extremely touched by the fact that we share the way we perceive the world, our sensitivity and needs.
